Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research (LEITR)
WHAT: Help give the gift of sight during the 2011 Eye Ball Gala hosted by the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research (LEITR). The evening will include powerful speeches about the gift of sight and the gift of life from previous LEITR transplant recipients and Carolyn Henry, mother of former Bengals professional football player Chris Henry, who made the choice to save others through organ donation.
The gala will also include dining, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets start at $150 and all proceeds benefit LEITR research programs that will help everyone get one step closer to unlocking the cure for blindness.
WHO: LEITR supporters, transplant recipients and Carolyn Glaspy, mother of former Bengals professional football player Chris Henry, will speak about the tragic loss of her son and the hope she found through the gift of organ donation.
