PRAIRE VILLAGE, KS-- MARCH 3, 2011 - Kansas City-based Visco Technologies LLC announced today that it will serve as a U.S. Distributor for Anika Therapeutics Inc.'s (Nasdaq:ANIK) ANIKAVISC™ viscoelastic for cataract surgery. Anika recently received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the ANIKAVISC product.
"ANIKAVISC will be familiar to cataract surgeons around the country as it has been sold under other brand names for many years. We are very excited about the opportunity to represent this viscoelastic in the United States. Visco Technologies expects to be in the field with the product early second quarter this year.
