 ASCRS Names Cataract and Refractive Surgery Expert New President

The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) has named Dr. Bonnie An Henderson, an internationally-recognized expert in cataract and refractive surgery specializing in complicated anterior segment surgery, as its president for 2017.

Henderson currently serves as ASCRS vice president and will replace the outgoing president, Dr. Kerry D. Solomon, in May 2017.

Based in Boston, Mass., Henderson is a partner at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and a clinical professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. She has reportedly authored over 125 articles, papers, book chapters and abstracts, delivered over 275 invited lectures worldwide, and published five textbooks on cataract and refractive surgery.
