JACKSONVILLE, FL—On May 22, 2007, Marco announced the introduction of the SC-2000 to their product line of automated acuity instruments. The Marco SC-2000 LCD Acuity Chart System combines all of the key elements of advanced clinical refractions and automated LCD technology. A dedicated refracting device with an extreme emphasis on precise visual acuities and impressive visual aesthetics, the SC-2000 utilizes a high resolution 19-inch LCD screen for high performance acuity presentations.

Other advanced features found on the SC-2000 include 35 individual chart selections and automated functions that are instantly controlled by a user-friendly infrared remote control. Sophisticated masking features allow you to isolate and maneuver individual horizontal and vertical lines as well as individual letters, numbers, and characters. To prevent letter memorization, the SC-2000 also allows the operator to randomize letters and characters on any horizontally isolated acuity line.

The SC-2000 offers a comprehensive selection of 20/10 – 20/600 charts including standardized Snellen, Pediatric, illiterate E’s, numbers, ETDRS (LogMar), binocular and other clinically validated tests. Contrast sensitivity testing is also a standard feature on the SC-2000, providing the ability to measure at three distinctive levels below the normal threshold. A customized slide show option allows the operator to download a selection of 18 personalized images to promote or enhance the commercial aspect of a practice. Two individual programming options allow the operator to pre-program any standard sequence of charts or refracting routines.
