American Society of Cataract and Refractive SurgeryLaunches CME 365
Online continuing medical education platform provides learning anytime, anywhere
FAIRFAX, Va. – August 25, 2016 – The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) announced the official launch of CME 365, an online continuing medical education platform available in the ASCRS Center for Learning.
CME 365 provides on-the-go continuing medical education for ophthalmologists through online courses curated by ASCRS. The content is available to ASCRS members as a benefit, and nonmember pricing varies based on individual course listings. With compelling and cutting-edge anterior segment activities varying in credit length and format, this one-stop shop allows users to receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in an accessible, convenient location.
Designed to provide engaging and relevant education, the CME 365 will be refreshed with new activities every month so that users are presented with the latest surgical techniques, research data and challenging case studies. Users can easily filter the wide range of activity topics using the course catalog, claim credits tailored to their educational needs and store their certificates for future access.
"CME 365 allows physicians to shape their own education by choosing courses 'on-demand' that meet their specific interests, needs, and time constraints,” said Dr. Manjool Shah, ASCRS Online Learning Subcommittee member. “And the convenience of an online portal for course completion opens a world of possibilities in terms of resources and access."
CME 365 is one of the several segments comprising the ASCRS Center for Learning, which serves as an online resource for high-quality ASCRS-curated content. Through webinars, surgical videos, podcasts, clinical committee reports and more, the Center for Learning provides relevant and timely anterior segment content that is available 24/7.
