ReVision Optics Publishes Presbyopia-Related Study Results for Raindrop Near Vision Inlay

ReVision Optics, Inc. recently announced clinical results indicating structural changes induced by the corneal shape-changing Raindrop® Near Vision Inlay leads to significantly improved near and intermediate vision in subjects with presbyopia, with no loss of distance binocular acuity.

The study is reportedly based on an analysis of 30 presbyopic subjects enrolled in a prospective clinical investigation of the Raindrop Near Vision Inlay. Changes to the eye’s connective tissue framework, known as the stroma, were calculated at one-year post-procedure by measuring the anterior corneal surface using wavefront techniques and the thinning of the epithelium using tomography. Study results indicate that the stroma predominately takes on the curvature shape of the inlay.

The study was recently published in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
