STAAR Surgical Company recently announced it had received approval for Canadian distribution of its EVO Visian ICL, STAAR's Implantable Collamer® Lens, by the Medical Devices Bureau of Health Canada.
The EVO ICL is STAAR's next-generation lens that is implanted inside the eye between the iris and natural lens where it stays indefinitely. To date, about 200,000 lenses from the EVO ICL product family have been implanted globally.
