Surgical Lenses Including New Gonio from Volk at ASCRS

Mentor, Ohio (March 25, 2013) – Volk Optical will be showing its new advancements in surgical gonio lenses during the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) Annual Meeting, April 19-23 at San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center. Volk’s Autoclavable Surgical Gonio Lens, launched at last year’s ASCRS, will be joined by the new TVG lens that can fix eye position for better control during surgery.

Developed in collaboration with Transcend Medical, the TVG lens has been designed specifically for MIGS and all intraoperative gonioscopy procedures. Its unique floating lens feature, with stabilization ring and multiple pivot points, provides ocular control not possible with current surgical gonio lenses.

Additionally, like all Volk surgical lenses, the TVG is compatible with both steam and gas sterilization and constructed to withstand repeated sterilization cycles without image degradation over time.

Also on display will be Volk’s entire line of diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical ophthalmic lenses, equipment, and accessories. Rounding out its gonio offerings, the G6 Gonio delivers sweeping images of the anterior segment–a full, gap-free view without rotation. For non-contact imaging during both BIO and slit lamp use, Volk’s Digital family’s lenses increase general diagnostic capabilities and shorten exam time. The series includes the Digital Wide Field®, the Digital High Mag and Digital Clear Field. Digital Lenses are also available in a choice of seven different ring colors.

In addition to hands-on demonstrations, Volk will offer special show pricing and a free multi-lens case with purchase. Visit Volk at booth 1408 to see the newest gonio lenses and take advantage of show specials.
