This stool is unquestionably the finest operating room stool available today. This stool was designed especially for the ophthalmic surgeon who must remain absolutely steady for long periods of time. A poor stool can unexpectedly shift resulting in unanticipated hand motion. The Machemer Stool has a solid base of five sturdy casters. A "foot bar" allows the surgeon to adjust the height from 22" to 33" and lock out the seat swivel. The seat is constructed of one continuous piece of heavy sculptured foam and covered in conductive fabric without seams. This unique design reduces pressure on the sciatic nerve and remains comfortable through even the longest procedures.
