Ziemer Group Announces The GALILEI™ G2

Ziemer Group

The leading Scheimpflug/Placido Camera for Anterior Segment Tomography gets a power boost.

(Paris, France; September 4, 2010) At the opening of the ESCRS 2010 Convention in Paris, France, Ziemer Group is unveiling a new generation of its successful GALILEI Dual Scheimpflug Camera System.

Based on a new, powerful computer system, system response, performance and computing power have been improved by 30 to 40 percent. The GALILEI continues to be the leading high-performance optical topography and anterior chamber tomography system with its unique combination of dual revolving Scheimpflug camera and Placido topographer. The high resolution data gathered simultaneously by these two system modalities are matched and merged into a single set of 3D precision data of the anterior chamber.

A new high-performance computer system gives the GALILEI G2 now a major boost in processing speed, computing power, and data storage capacity. The optics have been redesigned to further increase the quality of recorded data and to reduce measurement time. And with a redesigned table, working with the GALILEI G2 is now even more productive, and the system takes up less space in the customer’s diagnostic cabinet. While the basic functionalities of the GALILEI remain the same at this time, system performance and ease of use have been significantly improved in the GALILEI G2.

The Ziemer GALILEI G2 Dual Scheimpflug Camera System is available for immediate delivery. For more information, please visit www.ziemergroup.com.
