Orthoptic exercises using the Vision Assessment line of polarized vectographs can be significantly simplified by the use of Richmond Products’ new Vectograph Viewer. The viewer allows the patient to position the vectographs at the optimum angle and facilitates sliding the vectographic panels to the ‘breaking point’ and back to the ‘recovery point’.
The Vectograph Viewer supports the extension of the panels to their maximum base-in and base-out capabilities. A white background is used to support base-out vergence work (convergence), while the alternate transparent background permits fusional divergence work. The dowel handle allows smooth movement and maintains cleanliness of the vectograph panels. The gap between the panels ensures the avoidance of scratching. A weighted base keeps the viewer stationary during the exercises.
